The season semi-started Friday night (Sept. 30) with the exhibition game out in Wasilla after three weeks of hard workouts and skates. The win over Northern Alberta Institute of Technology was another step in the preparations leading up to Kendall Hockey Classic the Oct. 7-9. We did some good things that we can take with us, but also found some areas that we need to work on in practice.
A week of fine-tuning details lies ahead of us to make sure we are ready for Clarkson on Oct. 7. All the guys are eager to get going and prove to themselves that all those hours spent in the workout room this summer weren’t a waste.
Note: Daniel Naslund is a forward on Seawolf Hockey. He is a junior in Journalism and Public Communications, and he comes to UAA from his home in Nykoping, Sweden. GooOoo Seawolves!
